Woop Woop April 21, 2005 Well, I overslept this morning (forgot to reset the alarm clock) so didn't even make it to the gym this morning. But I found out that I didn't get the job at the new consumer packaged goods place. Too many other qualified candidates with that specific experience. (I hate being told I'm not good enough - regardless of context). Still waiting on the one in my current industry, although not holding my breath. Recruiter said they liked me, but they were hoping I'd have had more management experience. I guess they have one more candidate to interview (a referral from the President) - and said to the recruiter that I'm still "in it." Gah. Patience is so not a pretty color on me. Also? The project at work that has been the bane of my existence since about last August? Totally a new direction that is about 999999% less complicated and should take about 1/100th of the time to implement. I'm alternately ecstatic and put off. How many hours of my life were wasted on that project? But, also How easy is this new path going to be and how happy will the troops be? Awesome. Okay - I suppose I should get some work done today.
