Hm. Danger Zone April 15, 2005 My interview yesterday went especially well - even if nothing comes of it, it was a good exercise and I think I represented myself well. Today's is a little higher stakes, because if they don't offer me the job, I will have to re-evaluate how smart I think I am. There are only maybe 7 people in the entire city who are qualified to do that job and they are already doing it at another company. Good LordApril 14, 2005 Well, still hanging in there - at least mostly anyway. Work is about to kick me in the flabby ass though. I'm definitely ready for the weekend. I've got interviews both today and tomorrow (woop!) Today's is the chance to finally jump into consumer packaged goods - so I'm not real confident in my ability to sell myself (even though I totally know I can do the job). It's also pretty cool because I'd have the chance to work on some BIG brands. Also, though, the company is not so stable these days, so ?? The other one (tomorrow's) is for another company in this same industry - more money, but still a stuffy 9-5, man's world kind of industry requiring the commitment to pantyhose and somewhat sensible shoes. (Phhoooo I say to sensible shoes!) Meanwhile, I just finished "The Other Boleyn Girl" for book club. I don't go out too much for historical novels - much less thinly veiled historical romances - but this one was pretty good. That Anne Boleyn was one mean bitch. Okay then, by the by?
